China Arrests Its Own Lockdown Enforcers

( A video that appeared to show coronavirus lockdown enforcers in China attacking citizens led to the arrest of nine of them. This comes as China continues to implement draconian coronavirus restrictions.

According to Viral Press, the footage was filmed on November 7 in the city of Linyi, located in the southern part of China’s Shandong province. In the video, state employees wearing hazmat suits can be seen dragging villagers over the street before hitting them.

According to the Lanshan Police Department, nine of the plague employees were taken into custody for employing “extreme force.”

The police said in a statement that the public security force would severely crack down on illegal and criminal acts that infringe upon citizens’ safety and other legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the law and spare no effort to maintain social harmony and stability.

China has maintained draconian zero-tolerance restrictions in many sections of the nation, even though most of the rest of the globe has moved on from coronavirus lockdowns.

The stringent restrictions have resulted in occasional clashes between residents and officials from the local Communist Party. These officials are threatened with punishment if the number of reported cases in their respective areas of jurisdiction rises above levels that are considered acceptable.

On multiple occasions, Chinese residents have turned to social media to bring attention to the brutal crackdowns. One such instance occurred in September when videos that went viral showed civilians being forced to remain inside their homes despite an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale shaking China’s Sichuan Province.

According to state media, on Thursday, the new top leadership body of the country confirmed Beijing’s “dynamic-zero” COVID-19 policy, emphasizing that epidemic prevention measures must not be loosened. This was announced by the country’s new top leadership body.

According to the news agency Xinhua, the Politburo Standing Committee stated, “We must take bold and decisive steps to stem the development of the pandemic as soon as feasible and restore regular production and normal life as soon as possible.”
