(NewsGlobal.com)- Democrats once again have egg on their face when it comes to abortion rights, with a disturbing report from Live Action News revealing how the bodies of five aborted babies were surrendered by a pro-life activist in Washington, D.C. on Thursday. The activist says that the babies could have been killed after birth or partially aborted.
The report suggests that the Metropolitan Police Department attended a home in D.C. to investigate a call they received about a possible bio-hazard. The remains of the five babies were then collected by the Chief Medical Examiner.
The home was confirmed to belong to Lauren Handy, a 28-year-old anti-abortion activist representing Anti-Abortion Uprising. A Friday statement from the organization described how Handy attempted to turn the materials over to the police for an investigation.
Live Action News says that the investigations so far suggest that the late gestational ages of the babies suggest that they were aborted or killed in violation of the Partial Birth Abortion Act as well as the Born Alive Infants Protection Act.
In a statement, Anti-Abortion Uprising said that a funeral mass was offered for the children.
So, where did the bodies come from?
According to the activist group, the bodies were found at the Washington Surgi-Clinic, which is believed to be run by Dr. Cesare Santangelo. It’s the same clinic that was previously investigated by the group, with representatives claiming that Santangelo was caught on tape explaining that he would allow an aborted child to die if it survived outside of the womb.
The comments were caught on tape as the doctor spoke to an undercover investigator in 2013.
Ashan M. Benedict, the executive assistant chief of police in D.C., said in a press conference on Thursday, however, that the children had been aborted in accordance with the law. Benedict seemed more interested in how the bodies got into Handy’s home.
