Democrat’s Viral Dance Video Mocks Trump Address

Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett has found herself at the center of controversy after posting what many are calling a “cringe” TikTok video ahead of President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress. In the video, Crockett and two other women were seen lip-syncing and dancing in her office and a hallway to music from Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance.

The Democratic congresswoman mockingly referred to the President’s address as the “State of DisUnion” in her social media post. Crockett made her intentions clear when she wrote on the video, “Well…the State of the DisUnion will begin shortly. I’m gonna be in attendance,” followed by a direct message to her followers: “DO NOT WATCH!”

Democrats Stage Multiple Protests During Speech

Crockett wasn’t alone in her “resistance” to President Trump’s address. Several Democrats walked out during the speech, with Crockett and Florida Representative Maxwell Frost revealing shirts with protest messages reading “RESIST” and “no kings live here.” A group of other Democratic lawmakers followed their lead, also displaying “RESIST” shirts in a coordinated demonstration against the president.

“You have no mandate to cut Medicaid!” Texas Representative Al Green shouted before being removed from the chamber.

Green’s outburst resulted in his removal from the chamber by Capitol Police. Some Democrats, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Patty Murray, chose not to attend the address at all as a form of protest. Murray accused the President of “spitting in the face of the law” in explaining her decision to boycott the event.

Social Media Erupts With Criticism

Crockett’s dance video quickly spread across social media platforms, drawing sharp criticism from users who found her behavior unbecoming of a member of Congress. Many pointed out that Crockett incorrectly labeled Trump’s address as a State of the Union, when it was actually a joint address to Congress. Others questioned the professionalism of an elected official dancing and using profanity on social media.

“He up there, he’s spewing all kinds of nonsense and bullsh*t, let me just be real. And we weren’t just going to sit for that sh*t,” Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett said.

This isn’t the first time Crockett has made inflammatory comments about President Trump. She has previously called him “an enemy to the United States” and has grouped him with Elon Musk, labeling them both as “idiots.” Meanwhile, recent polling shows the American public increasingly supports President Trump’s handling of key issues, with a Harvard/Harris survey indicating higher approval ratings for Trump compared to former President Joe Biden.
