Donald Trump Exposes Piers Morgan For Deceptively Editing Interview

( Last Wednesday, Piers Morgan posted a 30-second teaser clip from his upcoming interview with former President Donald Trump that appeared to show Trump storming off the set during the interview. But according to Trump, that clip was deceptively edited.

Morgan interviewed the former President for his new UK show “Piers Morgan Uncensored” on TalkTV.

According to NBC News, as they did for an October 2020 interview Trump did with 60 Minutes, Trump’s people made an audio recording of the entire interview with Piers Morgan, and at no time did the former president storm off the set. Instead, the two ended the interview laughing and exchanging pleasantries.

In a statement on Wednesday, the former president blasted Morgan for the deceptively-edited clip, saying Morgan tried to “unlawfully and deceptively edit his long and tedious interview with me.”

Trump blasted Piers Morgan for trying to make it look as if he walked out after the 20-minute interview “went over by an hour.” Fortunately, Trump said, the entire interview was recorded by his team “as a means of keeping” Piers Morgan “honest.”

Trump also called Morgan a “fool” over how much of the interview focused on the 2020 election results.

In his statement, Trump suggested to “those who want to make Piers look bad” that they compare the 30-second clip Morgan released to the “real thing” to see how it was doctored. He mocked Morgan for going “out of his way” to deceptively edit the video only to get caught.

The promo clip posted by Morgan shows Trump saying, “Turn the camera off. Very dishonest.” But in the audio, Trump’s “turn the camera off” remark was made after the interview was over and while the two men were exchanging pleasantries. The “very dishonest” remark came during a separate part of the interview when Morgan kept telling Trump that he was asking a final question, only to ask several more questions.

Breitbart posted the relevant audio recorded by the Trump team. Listen to that HERE.
