(NewsGlobal.com)- Another Fox News anchor has contradicted former President Donald Trump’s assertion that electoral integrity was compromised by COVID-19.
“The president was unhinged during that time,” Fox News host Brian Kilmeade said on Sunday’s “MediaBuzz.”
He recalled the weeks between the 2020 presidential election and Jan. 6, 2021, when protesters rioted and halted constitutional procedure to certify Joe Biden’s Electoral College votes.
Kilmeade recalled that he interviewed him at West Point and was gracious enough to give him a few minutes. He said he never appeared so irate to him. He said he knew Trump for 15 or 20 years before becoming president. He’s never been so angry. Trump was sure he was robbed of the election.
Kilmeade did not support Trump’s rejection of the 2020 election when speaking to media critic Howard Kurtz on the House Select Committee’s investigation of the previous president on January 6.
The former President is convinced that the Democrats “used COVID to cheat,” skirting election law on mass mail-in ballots without legal approval by state legislatures in crucial battleground states. He feels the Dems engaged in mail-in ballot stuffing, and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg allegedly disproportionately funded ballot dropboxes in Democratic-heavy areas to “run up” the margins for Biden. These are just a few of Trump’s long-standing claims, which he frequently reiterates at his Save America rallies.
Regarding claims of breaches in the integrity of the 2020 presidential election, Kilmeade stated to Kurtz, “I have not seen any proof, and these are all incremental examples.
Both then and today, Kilmeade said, “Your team couldn’t prove it. Move on.”
Kilmeade said that Trump ought to have accepted defeat. “I think how you lose in life shapes who you are. Furthermore, even if certain things annoy you, welcome to the world. Sometimes things don’t work out and are so-called unfair. Move on; your team was unable to prove fraud.”
Kilmeade feels Trump should have taken the ‘L.”
Kilmeade criticized the Trump campaign’s efforts to contest the results of the 2020 presidential election, including using all available legal and constitutional means.
It’s hard to believe Kilmeade thinks that there were no shenanigans and that Joe Biden received the most votes in the history of any American election.
