(NewsGlobal.com)- Congressional Republicans penned an urgent letter to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to designate the pro-abortion group, “Jane’s Revenge,” a terrorist organization.
The group is defined as a “militant extremist pro-abortion rights group, which has claimed responsibility for several acts of firebombing, vandalism, and arson targeting crisis pregnancy centers.”
The letter, reportedly obtained by Daily Wire, states that the group plans to target expecting mothers across the country, calling for members of the militancy to be designated as domestic terrorists “in response to their clear involvement in acts dangerous to human life.”
An open letter by the group took credit for violence on pregnancy centers across the country, promising that there will be more attacks in the future as a result of Roe v Wade being overturned.
The group vowed to take “increasingly dramatic measures” against pregnancy centers and other pro-life organizations, adding that “those measures may not come in the form of something so easily cleaned up as fire and graffiti.”
The Congressional Republicans further state that the group is actively recruiting other members to participate in their extremism in order to further their political motivated agenda.
The FBI reportedly spoke to the Daily Wire on June 17, saying that they are “investigating a series of attacks and threats targeting pregnancy resource centers and faith-based organizations across the country.”
The group reportedly gave pro-life centers thirty days to cease their operations or they will face violent consequences. Beginning June 15, in an open letter the group wrote, “Your thirty days expired yesterday.”
In the letter, they state, “We offered an honourable [sic] way out. You could have walked away. Now the leash is off. And we will make it as hard as possible for your campaign of oppression to continue.”
Following the leaked draft opinion, a North Carolina pregnancy center was vandalized. Kristi Brown, the executive director of the Mountain Area Pregnancy Center in Asheville, said that police had called her to tell her that the center was vandalized with slogans threatening them. “If abortions aren’t safe, neither are you,” the message reads.
The same message was written on a New York City church June 27, after the group called for a “night of rage,” following the Court’s decision.
Jane’s Revenge is allegedly a “callback” to the 1970 Illinois group Jane’s Collective, which performed abortions on women when they were illegal.
