Host Fired After Saying He’d Rather Shoot Himself Than Watch College Basketball

(NewsGlobal.com)- Popular Sirius XM radio host Mark Lyle has reportedly been fired for simply suggesting that he doesn’t have much interest in watching women’s basketball.

Outkick reports how former PGA Tour Lyle explained his lack of interest in the sport during an episode of his show. He said that the LPHA tour is “completely different” than it was ten years ago.

“You couldn’t pay me to watch. You really couldn’t, because I couldn’t relate at all,” he said. “It’s kind of like if you were a basketball player, and I’m not trashing anybody, please don’t take it the wrong way…I saw some highlights of ladies’ basketball. Man, is there a gun in the house? I’ll shoot myself before I watch that.”

Clearly it was a joke, but that doesn’t matter these days, it seems. Criticize a protected minority and you’ll lose everything.

Lyle responded to the faux outrage in a February 6 tweet, stating that the fact he can’t relate to the WNBA doesn’t make him sexist.

“All you haters should listen to the whole segment, where I completely glorified womens golf, which I love to cover,” he said.

Lyle also confirmed his termination from his show, telling Twitter users:

“I was terminated about comments made about the WNBA, which I apologized for starting the next segment,” he said.

What else is there to say? Offend the woke mob and you’ll be fired. That’s the world now.
