(NewsGlobal.com)- While covering the World Economic Forum’s annual summit in Davos, Switzerland last week, Human Events senior editor Jack Posobiec and his crew were detained by police for an hour.
According to Posobiec, after filming a segment for the Charlie Kirk Show, a police officer approached him and his crew asking to see their passports and press passes. Once they complied and the officer reviewed their documents, he appeared to be satisfied and left.
However, about an hour later as Posobiec and his team were taking a break at the outdoor dining area of a nearby restaurant, two minivans loaded with police officers, including the one who initially questioned them, pulled up at the scene. The officers, some with guns drawn, questioned Posobiec and his crew individually. They were instructed to empty their pockets before being patted down by police and detained.

Posobiec later told the outlet “The Post Millennial” that police said they looked “suspicious” because he and his crew were filming at the entrance of the event.
He and his team were detained for about an hour during which the police never explained why they were targeted.
It was only after another independent reporter, Savanah Hernandez showed up and began filming them in custody that police released them.
Posobiec said he believes that after they initially turned over their passports and press passes, authorities later looked them up and that was why the police returned.
After he and his crew were released, Posobiec filmed a video for Human Events describing what happened.
