Jen Psaki Says She’ll Miss Fox News’ Peter Doocy

(NewsGlobal.com)- Last week, outgoing White House press secretary Jen Psaki admitted that she would miss her sparring matches with Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy.

During a Christian Science Monitor breakfast last Thursday, Psaki was asked if she would miss Doocy after she leaves the White House for her job at MSNBC.

Psaki said she would miss him, adding that she and Doocy have maintained “a very good, professional relationship.” She said Doocy goes into the briefings every day asking important questions and she respects him for it. She said she and Doocy engage in “healthy debates and discussions.” And while she doesn’t often agree with his “line of questioning,” she still called on Doocy “every day he’s been there.”

Both Psaki and Biden have used Doocy to score points with the Fox-hating Resistance. Psaki is no fool. She knew that taking questions from the only reporter in the room who challenges her would give her an opportunity to earn praise from the Left for her supposed “smackdowns.”

In a recent appearance on the Obama bros’ podcast “Pod Save America,” Psaki played off the audience’s Fox hate by telling them that Doocy works for a network that provides him with questions that might make “anyone sound like a stupid son of a bitch.”

Now that she’s leaving, Psaki wants to sound more magnanimous.

She said at the breakfast on Thursday that it was important to send the message that the White House is not “focused here on a fight with Fox.” She said the White House is instead focused “on the work of the American people,” saying that was the most important thing to President Biden and the First Lady.

Psaki’s last day at the podium was Friday, May 13.

Her replacement is former principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

Jean-Pierre has a long history of accusing Fox News of being “racist.”
