Meghan Markle’s Staff Labels Her With New Nickname, Report Says

A damning new report alleges that Meghan Markle is a difficult person to work for and her staff allegedly dubbed her “Duchess Difficult,” accusing her of terrifying and belittling people.

The Hollywood Reporter published an article on Thursday, Sept. 12, citing a source with close ties to the controversial royal couple. According to that source, Markle often “belittles people” and that she “doesn’t take advice.”

The insider also said that staff describe the royal couple as “poor decision-makers” and claimed they frequently “change their minds.” Staff agreed that Prince Harry was a “very charming person” yet they also considered him to be “an enabler” for his wife.

Workers said Markle was “absolutely relentless,” comparing her to a “dictator” marching around in high heels while “fuming and barking orders.” The anonymous source also said they personally watched Markle “reduce grown men to tears.”

The report comes in response to questions over a large amount of staff working for the Duke of Sussex and his wife leaving their jobs. Last month, their chief of staff resigned after only three months in the position. That chief of staff, Josh Kettler, reportedly left after parting ways was mutually agreed upon and that his position was originally “on a trial basis.”

The latest report claims that Markle throws “noisy tantrums” and writes “angry” emails at 5 AM. They have also allegedly nicknamed her “Duchess Difficult.” It’s not the first time such accusations have emerged either. In April, it was revealed that before the couple left England for California, she was abusive toward royal aides and displayed “belittling behavior” toward them, prompting an investigation. Some of those aides said Markle made them cry and that they felt “traumatized” from their time with her.

Other sources claim that Prince Harry was feeling isolated in America and increasingly lonely and that he’s grown close with his bodyguard, David Langdown, who he reportedly considers his best friend. The prince turned 40 on Sunday, Sept. 15, and the official social media pages for The Royal Family posted birthday wishes to the self-imposed exile, who has had a rocky relationship with his family ever since he married Markle.
