(NewsGlobal.com)- Congressman Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) doesn’t have much time left in the House of Representatives, so he decided to make the most of it by warning America about the threat posed by the soft and the metrosexual males.
Reports show the outgoing congressman, defeated in his Republican primary, delivered a statement on the House floor in which he bemoaned that America’s young men have become soft and have abandoned their masculinity. He blamed it on social media, arguing that men are now encouraged to be metrosexual.
Media reports show North Carolina Rep. Madison Cawthorn delivered his final message on the House floor on Wednesday, urging young men to reclaim their masculinity as he lamented America’s cultural weakness.
In a one-minute address, the 27-year-old legislator, who previously told Republican colleagues that he had built his team around communications rather than legislation, lamented social media’s influence on young Americans and urged the next generation to stand up.
Cawthorn explained that punching young men in the face when they did something stupid used to be a rite of passage in this nation. Our country used to believe that taking hits, learning from mistakes, and evolving through hardship provided strength and purpose.
Cawthorn remarked that America was ineffective. Her boys are ill, and her daughters are old.
Our country now deals with the implications of allowing a ‘participation trophy’ society. We are no longer the United States of America. We’ve evolved into a ‘nanny’ state. Our young guys are taught that being a soft metrosexual is more valuable than developing the mind, body, and soul.
He then accused social media of siphoning our men’s resolve to fight and predicted disaster for the country.
Cawthorn asked American males if they would sit behind a screen as their forefathers’ fabled tales became a myth. Or would they stand firm in the face of America’s fading golden age? Would they recover their manhood? Would they grow into men to be feared and to be regarded? Or would they allow this nation’s next generation to be its last?
