Pope Francis Calls For More Gun Control

(NewsGlobal.com)- After last week’s mass murder at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, Pope Francis used his weekly general audience address at the Vatican to condemn, not the murderer, but “the indiscriminate trafficking of weapons.”

During his address last Wednesday, the pope said he was “heartbroken” by the mass murder in Texas that left 19 children and two teachers dead and offered prayers for the families of those who died.

The pope called for people to say “enough to the indiscriminate trafficking of weapons” and asked the faithful that were gathered in St. Peter’s Square to commit to making sure that such tragedies “cannot happen again.”

But as long as there is evil in the world, tragedies like the mass murder in Uvalde will happen. You’d think the pope would understand that we are men, not angels.

And as long as there are those who would commit such evil acts of barbarism, the ability to defend oneself from evil men will remain necessary.

Legally purchasing a firearm does not amount to “the indiscriminate trafficking of weapons.”

Then again, Pope Francis is a leftist. And like every other leftist in the world, the pope believes that it is possible to change human nature, to transform fallen humans into angels simply by removing their access to guns.

But at the end of the day, if every gun disappeared from the planet, those who want to commit evil acts will still do it.

Even Cain was able to murder his brother Abel without access to an AR-15.
