Pope Francis Kisses Ukraine Flag

(NewsGlobal.com)- Pope Francis kissed a Ukrainian flag that had been sent to him from Bucha, the Kiev suburb that witnessed some of the most shocking scenes of human tragedy and war crimes committed by Russian soldiers in recent weeks and condemned the massacre that took place.

The Pope made the comments while speaking to a general audience last week, unfolding the flag before his weekly audience and describing Bucha as a “martyred city.”

Bucha has seen some of the worst atrocities committed by Russian forces so far, with video footage showing the bodies of innocent civilians lying dead in the streets with their arms tied behind their backs. Some reports even described how underground torture chambers were discovered underneath a children’s hospital, where men are believed to have been tortured, kidnapped, and murdered.

“Recent news from the war in Ukraine, instead of bringing relief and hope, brought new atrocities, such as the massacre of Bucha,” Francis said.

“Ever more horrendous cruelties are occurring, even against civilians, women, and helpless children…they are victims whose innocent blood cries out to heaven and implores,” he said.

We give the Pope a hard time for the Woke nonsense he pedals, but on this occasion, we’re with him. The atrocities seen in Bucha are disturbing and must be condemned by everybody.

We may not have wanted Russia to be our enemy, but it’s clear Russia is not our friend, isn’t it?
