Activists Target Pro-America Tech Giant
Radical activists targeted the offices of data analytics firm Palantir in coordinated protests on both coasts on Thursday, June 26, 2025. In Palo Alto, California, a mob of 130 to 200 demonstrators blockaded the entrance to the company’s headquarters. A similar scene unfolded in New York City, where protesters blocked the entrance to Palantir’s office, leading to six arrests by the NYPD.
The protests, organized by far-left groups like “Planet Over Profit,” demanded that Palantir, a key national security contractor, sever its ties with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Israeli military.
An Unapologetic Defense Partner
Palantir, which was founded in 2003 with early backing from the CIA’s venture capital arm, has become a vital technology partner for U.S. government agencies and Western allies. The company provides sophisticated data analysis software used by the military, intelligence agencies, and law enforcement, including ICE.
Palantir’s CEO, Alex Karp, has been famously unapologetic about his company’s pro-America, pro-West mission. He has stated that he is “exceedingly proud” of Palantir’s work with Israel and has bluntly acknowledged the nature of his business, once stating, “Our product is used on occasion to kill people.” This firm stance has made the company a primary target for anti-government and anti-Israel activists.
The Protesters’ Demands
The activists accused the tech giant of profiting from what they claim are immoral government policies. “Palantir’s tech programs are being used to deport our neighbors and kill civilians in Gaza,” a spokesperson for the protest group told CNBC.
In New York, one of the arrested activists, Caroline Chouinard, told The Guardian, “We’re disrupting Palantir’s business as usual because producing AI that makes fascism stronger and more efficient does not belong in NYC.”
The protest highlights the ongoing clash between tech companies that provide critical services for national security and immigration enforcement and the radical activist groups that seek to disrupt their operations.
