(NewsGlobal.com)- During Monday’s episode of ABC’s “The View,” the harpy hosts were blaming LGBT hatred for the shooting at a gay nightclub in Colorado where five people were killed and another 25 injured.
Co-host Sara Haines accused people of weaponizing their religion to score political points, prompting co-host Sunny Hostin to claim that these people are hiding behind religion. She added, “Jesus would be the grand marshal at the Pride parade.”
Haines responded that she wasn’t talking about gays specifically. Instead, she explained, people weaponize religion in every argument.
Whoopie argued that anyone who is “scared” of gays should just stay away from them instead of attacking them, adding that real Christians know that people are “made in God’s image.”

It was later reported that the Colorado shooter identifies as “non-binary” and goes by the pronouns “they” and “them.”
Joseph Archambault and Michael Bowman, the public defenders for Anderson Lee Aldrich, filed several motions Tuesday that included a footnote about their client’s identity.
In the footnote, the lawyers explained that Aldrich is non-binary and uses the pronouns “they/them.” They requested that in all formal filings, Aldrich be addressed as “Mx. Aldrich.”
Aldrich was released from the hospital on Tuesday and placed in the El Paso County Jail where booking records listed him as male.
On Wednesday, Aldrich appeared in court virtually from jail where El Paso County Court Judge Charlotte Ankeny said there was “legal authority” to hold him without bond.
Judge Ankeny scheduled Aldrich’s next court appearance for December 6, however, the date may change due to a scheduling conflict with his defense counsel.
In June 2021, Aldrich was arrested for allegedly making a bomb threat after his mother alerted authorities that he was threatening to harm her with a homemade bomb and weapons.
Aldrich was booked into El Paso County Jail on two counts of felony menacing and three counts of first-degree kidnapping. But that 2021 arrest did not show up on background checks, probably because the case was not adjudicated.
