Tucker Carlson Is Putting His Career In Danger To Expose Big Pharma

(NewsGlobal.com)- In the opening segment of his show last Monday, Fox News host Tucker Carlson targeted Big Pharma.

In addition to addressing the ongoing opioid crisis and COVID vaccines, Tucker cited a recent study from University College in London that found that there is no evidence that depression is caused by low serotonin levels.

Most antidepressants are Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRI), which were believed to work by correcting low serotonin levels. According to the study, there is no other accepted pharmacological mechanism by which antidepressants address the symptom of depression except by correcting abnormally low serotonin levels.

So if serotonin levels have nothing to do with depression, SSRIs are effectively useless.

According to the lead author of the study, psychology professor Joanna Moncrieff, the popularity of the “chemical imbalance” theory as the cause of depression has “coincided with a huge increase in the use of antidepressants.

Professor Moncrieff said many people go on antidepressants because they have been led to believe “their depression has a biochemical cause.” But, she added, their research “suggests this belief is not grounded in evidence.”

For decades, physicians have been prescribing SSRIs by the boat-full, and as a result, pharmaceutical companies have made billions making them.

Tucker noted that we were told for years that SSRIs will save lives. And now we learn that not only do SSRIs not work on depression, but the entire premise behind the drugs was wrong.

Tucker also blasted the media and health “experts” for ignoring the study, adding that SSRIs are still being prescribed.
