Biden Praises Kamala Harris After She Vanishes For Months

(NewsGlobal.com)- On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris revealed her most recent initiatives to address the “root causes” of migration from Northern Central America, some eight months after her last public engagement.

President Joe Biden was questioned by the media on the South Lawn, “Do you believe Kamala Harris is doing a good job with the border?”

She is, yes,” Biden said.

It’s been one month since U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) tallied a record-breaking number of illegal border crossers, and Joe Biden claimed the “border czar” Harris was doing a “good job.”

Harris obtained a new measure to fund infrastructure projects for sustainable energy development, technical assistance, and labor training, as well as an extra $1 billion from the private sector to address the “root causes” of migration.

On June 7, 2022, Harris hosted her last event on migration, at which she pledged roughly $2 billion in financing to address the “root causes” of migration.

According to Harris, these investments have extended access to the financial system, including the internet, and have produced jobs. “Small firms, which can truly develop if they have access to funding, not just in the United States but also throughout the globe and in this area in particular, have been able to do so thanks to these investments,” said Harris.

She said over one million individuals had been brought into the formal financial market due to efforts so far, including 65,000 people who now have bank accounts and four more million people who are linked to the internet. She said these are the results of U.S. efforts made thus far.

“We are already starting to see favorable trends, but our root causes approach and these investments reflect a long-term development endeavor,” she noted.

When Biden initially visited the border in January, Harris did not accompany him.

Karine Jean-Pierre, the press secretary for the White House, said in December that she was unaware of any new developments on Harris’s work on migration.
